3rd July
A lot of players
travel great distances to take part in various tournaments, especially when
those vital ranking points are at stake, however it doesn't happen too often in
a youth event, especially when you leave in Canada.
The player in
question was 17 year old Shaun Narain (pictured below) who travelled from Calgary,
Alberta
with his Dad just to play in the England Open Youth singles in his attempt to
qualify for the Winmau World Youth Masters later in the year.

Shaun has been
watching darts since he was just four years old and has been playing in leagues
since he was ten and he is already a member of the Alberta Provincial team.
Shaun was worried
that he was going to miss the Youth event as his seven and a half hour flight
was delayed twenty four hours.
Shaun's next trip
will be to represent Canada in the WDF America's Cup to be played in the Bahamas
in August.
