Jan - March 2009 30th March 2009 2009 England Youth Squad Announced We would like to congratulate the six players who will make up the 2009 England Youth squad, they are: Young Ladies Lauren Hitchens (Surrey) and Zoe Jones (Warwickshire) Young Men Matt Dicken (West Midlands), Shaun Griffiths (Lancashire), Jake Jones (Staffordshire) and Ben Songhurst (Kent) Vic Sexton - Team Manager They will represent England at the Europe Cup to be played in Holland during July. 3rd March 2009 Another sad day for darts as former Warwickshire Secretary, Dot Glidle has passed away, everyone's thoughts at the England Darts Organisation are with her husband Ken, himself a former BDO Chairman. 1st March 2009 England are Champions Results from Northern Ireland can be found on the Six Nations Page, click below for the link                                                                   Six Nations Results 26th February 2009 The England squad of Martin Adams, Martin Atkins, Darryl Fitton, Tony O'Shea, Scott Waites and John Walton will be competing in the Six Nations in Northern Ireland over the coming weekend. We would like to wish them the best of luck. 22nd February 2009 The Annual General Meeting of the England Darts Organisation will be held on Sunday 19th April 2009 at the Canley Sports & Social Club in Coventry. The meeting is open to representatives of all 43 English Counties. 19th February 2009 Another sad day for darts as Surrey Chairman, Bob Barber has passed away today, everyone's thoughts at the England Darts Organisation are with his family. 14th February 2009 England Darts Organisation was very sad to learn that former London Chairman, Mick Coonan has passed away and we would like to pass on our thoughts to his wife and family. Mick's funeral will be held on Tuesday 24th February at the Mortlake Crematorium at 4pm. Family flowers only. 11th February 2009 The England National Singles page has been updated with the 2009 entry form (this must be completed by the respective County Organisation). The England National Singles is a Ladies and Mens singles event that will be played on Saturday 18th July at Stockport County Football Club, during the England Masters weekend. The page also contains a list of the players who have qualified so far for the 2009 events. The squad is :- Martin Adams    Cambridgeshire   Martin Atkins  Yorkshire Darryl Fitton  Cheshire Tony O'Shea  Cheshire Scott Waites  Yorkshire John Walton  Yorkshire We wish them the very best of luck. 15th January 2009 Statement from England Darts Organisation regarding the England Eastbourne Classic and the England Masters Due to the inappropriate wording used on some paperwork for the England Eastbourne Classis at the end of January and the England Masters in July 2009, it can be interpreted that the events carry BDO Invitational points, this is not the case and England apologises for any misunderstanding  due to this error. 11th January 2009   We would like to congratulate Ted Hankey on becoming the new Lakeside Mens World Champion with a narrow win over Tony O'Shea in a great final. It was a great tournament as seven of the quarter finalists were English players. 11th January 2009 We would like to wish former Selector, Mick Getty a speedy recovery as he was taken into hospital with pneumonia during the Lakeside World Professional. Mick stood down this year because of his ongoing health problems and we would like to put on record our appreciations for his time as an England Selector.
