Tony O'Shea is the new WDF World Cup singles champion. He took the title with a 7 - 3 victory over Joey Ten Berge, with a winning average of 35.79, it also secured the overall silver medal for the England men.

The England ladies pairing of Lisa Ashton & Karen Lawman have won the Ladies World Cup pairs title with a 6 - 2 victory over Sweden's Maud Jansen & Carina Ekberg.

Winning the pairs also meant they also become the overall 2009 WDF World Cup Ladies Champions.

Zoe Jones finished runner up in the youth girls event.

25th September 2009

Friday was a mixed day for the England players at the World Cup in Charlotte, USA.

Zoe Jones reached the final of the girls singles, as did Tony O'Shea in the men's singles, so we will have a chance of three gold medals as Lisa & Karen had already qualified for the pairs final.

The England Board of Directors would like to thank everyone for the part they played in making the 2009 England Open a great success, we would particularly like to thank all the staff at Bunn Leisure for their help over the weekend.

For those people have been to Bunn Leisure they will have seen for themselves their excellent facilities, however what everyone may not realise is the help they give us over the weekend. We have all been involved with similar events over many years and none of us can ever remember a level of help such as theirs.

We value feedback (good or bad) and we are already working on making improvements for the 2010 England Open. If you want a caravan for the 2010 Open we strongly suggest that you book early as 110 of the approximate 250 caravans have already been booked.
