We were sorry to hear of Hazel's
passing recently, for many years she was the very hard working General Secretary
of the Kent Darts Organisation, she also regularly represented Kent at many BDO
and England Darts meetings, so her families loss will be shared by many people
who had the pleasure of spending time with her.
On behalf of her family her son
has written "She was a great wife, mum, nan and great nan. She was always there
to help and offer support and advice, she was hard working, loving and put
others first and a great friend to many people. She loved meatloaf (the band not
the food lol). She loved going to our boat on the river Medway for weekends with
Colin, Steve, Rob and me.
Darts has lost another lovely
lady. Our thoughts are with her family at this sad time.

It gives me great pleasure in
announcing that the Directors of the England Darts Organisation offer to Deta
Hedman to become it's first Ambassador of Youth Darts, this very important
position within the Organisation, has been Graciously accepted by Deta.
Deta currently our International
Ladies Captain, is a worldwide icon of the sport of darts, competing and
promoting the ladies game on every continent throughout the world for over 25
years.
Thanks to Deta's involvement in
our inaugural series of events of the England Youth Darts Grand Prix and it's
widely acclaimed success, has resulted in the expansion of the schedule
for 2019, with England now bringing Grand Prix Darts throughout all the regions
of our Country.
The Grand Prix Series, along with
Youth Inter-Counties, England Youth Opens, are at the heart of our system, which
can lead to representing England Youth at British Internationals and the World
Darts Federation Europe and World Cups.
England couldn't have a better or
more fitting role model for either young boys or girls wishing to develop
a career in the sport, via England Darts.
